The Company was formed in June 1988, by Kevin and Caroline Horton and registered in England as a limited company No. 2275586. Michael French joined the company in 1995.

The Company's principal activity is the Installation of Building Engineering Services. We design, install, commission, survey and maintain a variety of different types of heating, air conditioning, ventilation and electrical systems.

We are privileged to be regularly specified as independent commissioning contractors as well as nominated installation contractors by various M & E consulting companies and regular clients.

We are approved installers and service engineers of air conditioning equipment for many major manufacturers including Daikin, Fujitsu, Hitachi, IMI, Mitsubishi, Sharp & Toshiba.

The Company also has the prestige of being one of a very limited number of approved air conditioning / building services contractors to British Telecom where specialist systems within their exchanges and computer rooms are dealt with on a regular basis.

The company runs several fully equipped service vehicles that are able to accommodate most installation requirements.

We are also registered for the safe recovery of refrigeration gasses.

The Company prides itself on having the latest Technological Equipment to provide up-to-date testing facilities. The company owns approximately £30,000.00 worth of commissioning and technical test equipment, all serviced and calibrated regularly.

Commrite (BES) Limited was initially set up and run from a small office in the managing director's home. Formal offices were acquired in 1994 in Thorpe Bay Broadway, Southend On Sea, Essex, comprising of approx. 470 square feet of working space plus a single garage for storage.

The continuing success and expansion of the company has led to its recent relocation to 8, Towerfield Road, Shoeburyness in which the company can now continue its activities and provide a suitable base for administration and accounts, deliveries, plus storage for company vehicles, equipment and materials. (The floor area totals approx. 5700 square feet in contrast to our previous accommodation!).

We have now completed 95% of the necessary procedures towards obtaining ISO9001 Quality Assurance Accreditation and anticipate registration in the very near future. All Q.A. procedures have been in place for some time.

The company also operates a strict Health and Safety Policy which is reviewed regularly.
